LiSense Launches Continuous GB Gambling Licence Monitoring Platform

LiSense has launched a new licence monitoring platform for Great Britain’s gambling sector, giving operators, suppliers and other businesses a way to track Gambling Commission licence changes continuously rather than relying on occasional manual checks.

The platform already has commercial agreements with Bally’s, BOYLE Sports and Light & Wonder, bringing both operators and suppliers into its initial customer base.

Developed by Li-Sense Technology Limited, the service scans more than 300,000 data points from the Gambling Commission’s public register every day and alerts subscribers when an operating or personal licence changes status.

From Onboarding Checks to Continuous Oversight

LiSense is designed to monitor changes including licence suspensions, surrenders, revocations and variations.

When a change is detected, customers can receive alerts by email or SMS, together with guidance on potential actions. Each event is also added to a time-stamped audit trail, while licence histories are retained for longer than the Gambling Commission’s standard three-year period.

The platform also covers regulatory deadlines, including annual licence fees, the statutory levy and the economic crime levy.

The company is targeting more than gambling operators and B2B suppliers. Affiliates, media companies, football clubs, payment providers and search engines are among the other businesses that may need to verify whether a gambling partner remains properly licensed.

Bally’s, BOYLE Sports and Light & Wonder Among First Partners

Bally’s, BOYLE Sports and Light & Wonder have been named as LiSense’s first commercial partners, giving the new platform an early presence across different parts of the gambling supply chain.

Andy Bentley, Co-Founder of LiSense, said the company built the platform around the idea that licence verification should continue throughout a commercial relationship rather than stop once an initial onboarding check has been completed.

The technology was engineered by digital services and cybersecurity company Presidio, while LiSense’s founding team brings more than 80 years of combined experience spanning gambling regulation, legal advisory and B2C and B2B operations.

Launch Comes as Compliance Costs Rise

LiSense enters the British market as regulatory requirements and costs continue to increase.

Gambling Commission operating licence fees are due to rise by 25% in October 2026, while a revised financial penalties framework introduced in October 2025 allows fines to be linked to a percentage of gross gambling yield.

The regulator also took action against 13 operators between May and December 2025 over issues including anti-money laundering, social responsibility and technical compliance.

LiSense estimates that more than £21 million was paid through Gambling Commission financial penalties and regulatory settlements in the 12 months to July 2026.

Against that backdrop, the company is positioning continuous licence monitoring as a practical compliance tool for businesses that need to know not only whether a gambling partner was licensed when a relationship began, but whether that status remains unchanged over time.

LiSense has also indicated that it plans to expand its monitoring services internationally, although specific future markets have not yet been announced.
