Hacksaw Launches B2B Prediction Markets Platform With MGA Approval

Hacksaw Group has entered the prediction markets sector with a new B2B platform that allows operators to offer peer-to-peer prediction markets under their own brands. Announced on 15 October 2026, the launch coincides with an extension of the company’s Malta Gaming Authority (MGA) licence to include Type 3 gaming services.

The Nasdaq Stockholm-listed supplier will provide the technology and infrastructure behind the product, while partner operators retain control of their brands, customer relationships and user experience.

Shared Infrastructure for Prediction Markets

Hacksaw’s platform is designed to let operators enter the prediction markets space without having to develop or maintain the underlying technology themselves.

A central feature is its connected volume framework, which pools peer-to-peer participation across Hacksaw’s operator network. The approach is intended to address one of the key challenges of launching peer-to-peer markets: building sufficient participation and volume from the outset.

Operators will also be able to draw on their existing customer bases and player ecosystems, while Hacksaw will use its established technology and development team to support the new product.

Marcus Cordes, operational CEO of Hacksaw Gaming, said the platform was developed to give operators efficient access to prediction market capabilities at scale. He added that the company’s existing operator relationships across multiple jurisdictions could help streamline market entry.

MGA Licence Extended to Type 3 Services

The launch is supported by an extension to the B2B critical gaming supply licence held by Hacksaw’s Maltese subsidiary, HGMT Limited.

The licence previously covered Type 1 games, which include casino games of chance played against the house. The MGA’s public register now also lists Type 3, a category covering player-versus-player gaming in which operators do not carry the gaming risk and instead earn a commission. The category includes pool betting and betting exchanges.

Hacksaw said the extension allows it to provide B2B peer-to-peer prediction market services under Malta’s regulatory framework.

The approval falls under the existing Type 3 classification; the MGA register does not list prediction markets as a separate category.

A New Product Line Beyond Slots and Crash Games

The move expands Hacksaw’s offering beyond its established portfolio of slots, scratch cards and crash games, adding another technology-led product line for its operator partners.

The company cited Bernstein research estimating that annual prediction market trading volume could reach approximately $1 trillion by 2030, with the market projected to grow by around 370% in 2026.

Hacksaw’s expansion also follows a period of revenue growth. The supplier reported second-quarter revenue of €59.3 million, up 31% year on year.

Ana Vrabic Verdir, group CEO of Hacksaw Group, described prediction markets as an opportunity at the intersection of technology, entertainment and market participation. She said the company’s platform, distribution capabilities and operator relationships could help businesses enter the category.

With its new B2B platform and expanded MGA licence, Hacksaw is positioning itself to support operators seeking access to peer-to-peer prediction markets without building the underlying infrastructure independently.
