Yggdrasil has given a familiar fairy-tale theme a new slot treatment with 3 Piggies of Bank, introducing a new Lock’em & Load’em mechanic alongside multiple Coin features and a progressive-style jackpot chase.
The 5×3 slot is inspired by the classic Three Little Pigs story and marks the debut of Yggdrasil’s latest Game Engagement Mechanic (GEM), built around locked Coins and respins.
Lock’em & Load’em takes centre stage
The new mechanic is activated through the game’s Coin feature, where special Coin symbols lock into position while players receive a limited number of respins to fill the grid.
The feature starts with five respins, with the counter resetting to five whenever another Coin lands. The round ends when the respins run out or the entire grid has been filled.
At the end of the feature, the values of all Coins on the grid are added together to determine the final win.
Players can also trigger one of four special prizes during the bonus: Mini, Minor, Major and Grand, with prizes ranging from €15 up to €1,000.
Three Bank features add variety
3 Piggies of Bank includes three different Bank features — Collect, Double and Mystery — giving the Coin-based gameplay several possible outcomes.
The combination of locked symbols, respins and prize tiers forms the core of the game’s bonus experience, while the full-grid objective provides an additional target for players during the feature.
The familiar theme is also incorporated into the base game, where Mama Pig appears as an Expanding Wild, helping create additional winning combinations.
Free Spins bring another bonus layer
The slot also includes a separate Free Spins feature triggered by the Blow It Down symbol.
Landing three or more qualifying symbols awards up to 10 Free Spins, with the feature capable of being retriggered.
This gives the game two distinct bonus routes, with the Free Spins feature complementing the Coin-focused Lock’em & Load’em mechanic.

Yggdrasil said the aim was to take a well-known theme and give it a distinctive treatment through its visuals, humour and gameplay.
Jose Kadala, Chief Commercial Officer at Yggdrasil, said the company wanted players to immediately recognise the theme while encountering a different experience once they enter the game.
