Pragmatic Play has expanded its popular Gates of Olympus franchise with the launch of Gates of Olympus 2500, bringing Zeus back to the reels with bigger multipliers, free spins and four new bonus game modes.
Released on 28 September, the latest instalment keeps the core mechanics of the original while introducing a higher multiplier ceiling of 2,500x and new ways for players to build wins during the bonus features.
Gates of Olympus Gets a Major Upgrade
Gates of Olympus 2500 retains the series’ familiar tumble gameplay, with eight or more matching symbols anywhere on the reels creating a win and triggering another tumble.
The major change comes through the multiplier symbols, which can now reach 2,500x and appear during both base-game and bonus play.
Multiple multiplier values landing on the same spin or tumble are combined before being applied to the total win, creating the potential for much larger payouts.
Four Bonus Modes Join the Series
Landing at least four scatter symbols activates 15 free spins, but before the feature begins, a new bonus wheel determines which of four game modes will be played.
Two of the new Free Spins modes focus on different ways of accumulating multipliers.
In Free Spins 1, multipliers landing on winning spins are added to a running total before being applied to the resulting win.
Free Spins 2 takes a different approach, with every multiplier collected added to a progressive total that is then applied to subsequent wins.
Both modes also feature a Super Free Spins version, where the minimum multiplier value increases to 10x.
The four-mode structure gives the latest Gates of Olympus release more variation while maintaining the mechanics associated with the original title.
Pragmatic Play Builds on a Popular Franchise
Gates of Olympus 2500 follows several recent Pragmatic Play releases, including Sweet Rush Bonanza and Fury of Anubis, as the supplier continues expanding its portfolio with new versions of established concepts.
Sharon McHugh, Director of Public Relations at Pragmatic Play, said the company wanted to give the Gates of Olympus franchise a major upgrade while preserving the gameplay that made the original popular.
The launch adds another high-profile title to Pragmatic Play’s slot portfolio, with the supplier developing up to eight new slot games each month alongside its Live Casino offering.
