Pragmatic Play is bringing its popular fishing franchise back for Halloween with Big Bass Halloween Splash 1000, a seasonal slot packed with pumpkin-based modifiers, fisherman Wilds and a bonus round built around escalating multipliers.
The latest instalment keeps the familiar Big Bass formula but adds new ways to influence the free spins feature, starting with a pumpkin selection that can change how the bonus unfolds.
Six Pumpkins Set the Stage for Free Spins
Landing three, four or five Scatters in the base game awards 10, 15 or 20 free spins, respectively. Two Scatters also give players a random chance to trigger additional Scatters and activate the feature.
Before the bonus begins, players choose from six pumpkins to reveal potential modifiers. These can add Wilds or money symbols, award extra free spins, start the round at the second multiplier level or increase the likelihood of random features activating.
The selection adds an extra decision before the main feature begins, with different modifiers offering different routes into the bonus.
Fisherman Wilds Collect Fish Worth Up to 1,000x
During free spins, fisherman Wilds collect the values of Fish money symbols landing on the same spin, with individual Fish values reaching up to 1,000x the bet.
Every fourth fisherman retriggers the feature with 10 additional free spins. The win multiplier then increases progressively: 2x on the first retrigger, 3x on the second and 10x on the third and final retrigger.
The bonus also includes random special features that can add more Fish or fisherman symbols when one lands without the other. Pumpkin symbols may appear on the fifth reel during the feature, unlocking further modifiers that remain active for the rest of the round.
A Halloween Upgrade to the Big Bass Formula
Big Bass Halloween Splash 1000 builds on the franchise’s established fishing mechanics with a seasonal setting and additional layers of bonus variation.
Sharon McHugh, director of public relations at Pragmatic Play, said the new title gives players more influence over how the bonus develops, from the initial pumpkin choice to upgrades that can appear during free spins.
The game joins Pragmatic Play’s wider slot portfolio as the supplier adds another Halloween-themed release to its fishing series.
