BGaming has secured two spots in the global top 10 football-themed casino games, according to a new report examining the performance of football-related gaming content during the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
The supplier was the only provider to have two different titles included in the ranking, with Penalty Duel with Júlio César taking seventh place and Lucky Pack 2026 Cup finishing tenth.
The report was produced by Blask in collaboration with BGaming and ranked football-themed casino games based on their reach across brands.
Two different formats make the list
Penalty Duel with Júlio César was available across 262 brands, placing it seventh in the global ranking.
The title is an instant-win game developed with former Brazil goalkeeper Júlio César, bringing a recognisable football personality into the gaming experience.
Meanwhile, Lucky Pack 2026 Cup reached 212 brands, securing tenth place. Unlike the penalty-themed release, the game uses a traditional slot format.
The two titles therefore represent different approaches to sports-themed casino content, with BGaming using both instant-win and slot mechanics to target players during one of the biggest sporting events of the year.
Penalty Duel sees strong tournament growth
The Júlio César title also recorded significant growth during the World Cup.
Following its exclusive launch with Betano, Penalty Duel with Júlio César reached the operator’s top five games in its main casino lobby, while climbing from 135th to seventh place within its category.

According to data from BGaming, the game’s GGR increased by 163% during the tournament, while the total number of bets rose by 150%.
The results highlight the potential impact that major sporting events can have on casino products built around football-related themes.
Different mechanics, broader audience
Julia Alekseeva, CPO at BGaming, said the two games demonstrated how different formats can be used to attract different audiences.
“Penalty Duel with Júlio César helped us attract the attention of leading Brazilian operators, while Lucky Pack 2026 Cup allowed us to reach a different audience through a classic slot format.”
She added that having both titles in the global top 10 showed the potential of using different mechanics when developing sports-themed casino content.
The wider ranking also reflected that variety. Of the 10 highest-ranked football-themed games, five were slots, three were instant-win titles, one was a crash game and one was a live casino product.
Football remains a major opportunity for casino content
The findings underline the growing crossover between major sporting events and online casino content, with suppliers increasingly using football themes, well-known athletes and tournament-related concepts to create games around major events.
For BGaming, placing two titles in the same global ranking provides a strong indication that the strategy can work across different game formats rather than relying on a single type of product.
