SiGMA North America to Debut in Mexico City in 2026

SiGMA is expanding its global event portfolio with the launch of SiGMA North America, a new iGaming and technology event set to take place in Mexico City in September 2026.

The new summit will bring together around 4,000 delegates and will be delivered in both English and Spanish, with organisers positioning the event as a meeting point between the North American and Latin American gaming markets.

The launch marks another step in SiGMA’s international expansion and puts Mexico at the centre of the group’s plans for the Americas.

Why Mexico?

According to SiGMA, Mexico’s combination of market size, geographical position and growing technology sector makes it an increasingly attractive destination for the international gaming industry.

The country has a population of more than 120 million people, while its online gambling market is projected to grow from approximately $1.75 billion in 2023 to $3.53 billion by 2030.

Online casino is also expected to remain one of the market’s faster-growing segments. Data cited by SiGMA from Horizon Databook projects the segment to reach $287.8 million by 2030, representing a compound annual growth rate of 14.3% between 2025 and 2030.

Mexico’s land-based gaming sector adds another layer to the opportunity. The country has more than 650 casinos, with the sector recording 2.8% growth from 2023.

Mexico City currently leads the country with 96 casinos, followed by Baja California and Tamaulipas.

A bridge between North and Latin America

SiGMA sees Mexico’s geographical position as one of the main advantages of hosting an event there.

While the US already has an established calendar of major gaming conferences, the group believes Mexico can provide a different meeting point for companies operating across both North America and Latin America.

The bilingual format is intended to support that role, bringing Spanish-speaking and English-speaking delegates together under the same roof.

The organisers also plan to schedule SiGMA North America approximately six months apart from the group’s South America event, giving companies attending both shows more room to participate across the two markets.

Networking and industry content

The new Mexico City event will follow the format associated with SiGMA’s other international summits, combining an exhibition floor with industry discussions, networking opportunities and entertainment.

Attendees can expect a programme covering developments across iGaming, gaming technology and the wider digital entertainment sector, alongside opportunities for operators, suppliers, affiliates, investors and other industry stakeholders to connect.

Mexico City’s international connectivity is another factor behind the decision. The city is served by Mexico City International Airport, which offers connections to major destinations across the Americas and beyond, as well as Felipe Ángeles International Airport.

SiGMA targets a growing market

The launch comes as Latin America continues to attract interest from global iGaming companies looking for new growth opportunities.

For SiGMA, establishing a dedicated North American event in Mexico represents an opportunity to build a stronger presence in a market that sits between two of the industry’s major regions.

With the first edition scheduled for September 2026, further details on speakers, the agenda and participating companies are expected to be announced by SiGMA in the coming months.
