Pragmatic Play has expanded the feature set of its Privé Lounge Blackjack product, introducing two new gameplay options aimed at giving VIP players greater flexibility and adding more suspense to each hand.
The update brings Face Down Double Down and Split After Split to the live blackjack experience, while keeping the traditional rules and format of the game intact.
More options at the table
The first addition, Face Down Double Down, allows players to double their stake without immediately revealing the final card associated with the hand.
The card remains face down until the dealer has completed their hand, adding an extra element of anticipation to the double-down decision.
The second feature, Split After Split, gives players the option to split eligible hands created from an initial split. The additional flexibility also increases the game’s stated RTP to 99.51%.
Together, the two features give players more strategic choices without fundamentally changing the traditional blackjack experience.
A more personalised VIP experience
The new mechanics have been added to Pragmatic Play’s Privé Lounge offering, which is designed specifically around a more personalised live casino experience.
The series includes dedicated VIP hosts and highly trained dealers, alongside additional options such as dealer changes, extended sessions and shoe reshuffles.
The latest update follows Pragmatic Play’s introduction of Double Down After Split to the product last year, continuing the supplier’s approach of adding optional gameplay features while maintaining the familiar blackjack format.
Sharon McHugh, Director of Public Relations at Pragmatic Play, said the new additions were intended to build on the premium positioning of the Privé Lounge series.
“Face Down Double Down adds a new level of suspense to every hand, while Split After Split gives players greater strategic freedom and improves their potential edge.”
She added that the two features were designed to provide a richer experience while remaining close to the classic blackjack gameplay players already know.
Pragmatic Play continues to develop its live casino offering
The update gives Privé Lounge Blackjack another point of differentiation within Pragmatic Play’s live casino portfolio, with the supplier focusing on additional player choices rather than a complete redesign of the traditional game.
By combining familiar blackjack rules with features such as Face Down Double Down and Split After Split, the provider is positioning Privé Lounge as a more flexible option for its VIP-focused live casino audience.
