Play’n GO is taking players to a rather unusual countryside for its latest slot release, Unigoat, where three ordinary-looking goats become the unlikely heroes of a farm under attack.
The new video slot combines a playful cartoon setting with an expanding game grid, collectible cash prizes and a Free Spins feature shaped by the abilities of three characters: Griffin, Gilberta and Gaston.
When three goats become one
The story behind Unigoat revolves around the trio protecting their farm from lurking wolves. When danger appears, the three goats combine their abilities to create the titular Unigoat, with their individual powers carrying over into the game’s main bonus feature.
The characters also have a direct impact on gameplay. Goat symbols appearing during the base game are collected above the reels, and the combination of goats gathered determines which features become available during the Free Spins.
The reels can grow during Free Spins
The GOATENING Free Spins feature starts with five spins and expands the standard 5×3 grid to 5×5. A 2×2 Cash Collector is also introduced at the bottom-left of the expanded playing area.
During the feature, Power Rings and Golden Cabbage symbols can award cash prizes. Power Rings are collected whenever they appear, while Golden Cabbage prizes are collected only when they land within the Cash Collector’s area.
The collector itself can become larger as Power Rings are gathered.
Once four Power Rings have been collected, the Cash Collector expands and awards additional Free Spins. The first expansion adds three spins, while later expansions add two each time.
If Griffin’s ability is active, the Expanding Rows mechanic can take the grid as far as 5×8, while also allowing the Free Spins count to increase to as many as 18.
Each goat brings a different advantage
The three characters give the bonus round its own combination of mechanics.
- Griffin activates Expanding Rows, allowing the grid to grow and providing additional Free Spins.
- Gilberta introduces Bounty Rewards, featuring Mini, Minor, Major and Grand prizes worth 10x, 50x, 200x and 1,000x the total bet, respectively.
- Gaston adds random multipliers of up to 10x to prizes collected during the feature.
Multiple Goat Powers can be active at the same time, depending on which characters have been collected before entering the bonus.
With its combination of character-driven mechanics and an increasingly large playing field, Unigoat gives Play’n GO another way to build a slot around a recognisable cast rather than a traditional casino theme.
The game is set for release on 27 August 2026, with desktop and mobile versions available.
