Alberta’s newly opened regulated iGaming market continues to expand, with Casino Time and Vegas Club Casino becoming the latest operators to launch online in the Canadian province.
The two additions bring the number of active commercial iGaming sites in Alberta to 29, operated by 19 companies, just weeks after the province opened its regulated market to private operators.
Casino Time expands beyond Ontario
Casino Time is entering Alberta after establishing itself in Ontario, where it has offered online casino and bingo services since 2024.
The Toronto-based operator has links to more than 10 land-based charitable gaming venues and operates within the Canadian charitable gaming sector. Its online platform is powered by Gaming Innovation Group and offers more than 3,000 casino games from over 40 suppliers, including slots, table games, live casino and game-show titles.
Its Alberta launch is particularly notable because Casino Time is among the small group of operators able to offer online bingo alongside casino content.
Vegas Club makes its Canadian debut
Vegas Club Casino, meanwhile, is entering Canada for the first time through Alberta.
The brand is owned by G2 Digital, founded by gaming industry veterans Greg Carlin and Dan Alexander. Vegas Club previously entered the regulated US market with a New Jersey launch in July.
The company has also announced plans to expand the brand into Ontario and Pennsylvania, although those launches have yet to take place.
Alberta therefore becomes Vegas Club Casino’s second regulated market.
A rapidly expanding market
Alberta’s regulated iGaming framework officially launched on July 13, 2026, with 22 commercial platforms going live simultaneously. Since then, the market has continued to grow, including the recent arrival of PURE Casino.
The province’s commercial operators are competing with Play Alberta, the government-operated platform that previously held the market to itself.
Several other brands have already registered to operate in Alberta but have yet to launch, including 888 Casino, Bet99, Betano, GGPoker, PointsBet Canada, River Cree iGaming, ToonieBet and several Super Group brands.
With 29 sites now active and more operators waiting in the wings, Alberta is quickly developing into one of Canada’s most closely watched regulated iGaming markets.
