Play’n GO has expanded its Viking Runecraft universe with the launch of Viking Runecraft 1000, a new slot that combines Norse mythology, cascading wins and a multiplier system capable of reaching 1,000x.
Released on 25 August 2026, the latest addition to the series puts three familiar Norse gods — Heimdall, Freya and Thor — at the centre of the gameplay, with their influence extending beyond the visual design into the game’s main progression mechanic.
A cascade system built for bigger multipliers
Viking Runecraft 1000 is played on a 6×5 grid where wins are formed without traditional paylines. Players can land winning combinations by matching eight or more symbols anywhere on the grid.
Once a winning combination is formed, the symbols disappear and are replaced by new ones. The process continues through consecutive cascades as long as new winning combinations are created, giving individual spins the potential to develop through multiple stages.
The game’s defining feature is its god-powered multiplier progression. Across 15 levels, the multiplier gradually increases from 2x all the way to 1,000x, with the progression moving through paths associated with Heimdall, Freya and Thor.
This system gives the game a sense of progression throughout the session rather than relying solely on individual winning combinations.

Free Spins carry the progression forward
The Norse adventure also includes a Free Spins feature, triggered by landing at least three scatter symbols.
Importantly, the multiplier progression remains central to the bonus experience, allowing players to continue building on the system established during the base game.
The combination of cascading reels and escalating multipliers gives Viking Runecraft 1000 a structure designed around building momentum rather than isolated wins.
Another chapter in Play’n GO’s Viking universe
Magnus Wallentin, Games Ambassador at Play’n GO, said the new release takes the series’ mythology-driven concept further by placing the gods at the heart of its progression system.
“Viking Runecraft has always been about putting the power of the gods in players’ hands,” Wallentin said, adding that the multiplier mechanic was designed to give each round a stronger sense of progression.
With its 1,000x top multiplier, cascading gameplay and three-god progression system, Viking Runecraft 1000 marks the latest expansion of one of Play’n GO’s established gaming worlds.
The game is now available to Play’n GO operators.
