Amusnet Gaming is taking its Canadian expansion a step further, securing a conditional licence in Alberta just months after entering Ontario’s regulated market.
The approval from the Alberta Gaming, Liquor and Cannabis (AGLC) gives Amusnet the regulatory credentials needed to supply online gaming content to licensed operators in the province, opening the door to a new phase of its North American expansion.
Alberta launched its regulated iGaming market on 13 July 2026, creating a new commercial opportunity for suppliers looking to establish a presence in Canada. With the latest approval, Amusnet becomes positioned to pursue partnerships with operators active in the province.
The conditional licence follows the company’s successful regulatory entry into Ontario earlier this year, giving Amusnet access to two of Canada’s regulated iGaming markets.
For Alberta, suppliers must satisfy AGLC requirements covering areas including technology, security, regulatory compliance, game integrity and responsible gambling. Amusnet’s approval confirms that the company has met the necessary standards to move forward in the province.
Julia Peeva-Sertov, CEO of Amusnet Gaming, said the Alberta approval represents another important milestone in the company’s North American strategy.
She added that, following its Ontario licence, the new approval further strengthens Amusnet’s position in Canada and reflects its commitment to regulatory compliance and integrity.
The company will now look to build partnerships with Alberta operators and introduce its gaming portfolio to the newly regulated market.
The move also signals Amusnet’s intention to continue expanding across regulated jurisdictions, with North America emerging as an increasingly important part of its international growth strategy.
