Pennsylvania’s gambling market continued to expand in July, with casinos and other regulated gaming verticals generating around $591 million in revenue, according to figures attributed to the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board.
The result represents a 6% year-on-year increase, underlining the continued strength of Pennsylvania’s regulated gaming market. The state’s gaming regulator publishes monthly revenue figures covering retail casinos, iGaming, sports betting, video gaming terminals and fantasy contests.
Online casino remains a major growth engine
One of the strongest performances came from iGaming, which generated approximately $249 million during July.
Hollywood Casino at Penn National led the online casino segment with $75.1 million, followed by Valley Forge Casino Resort at $70.1 million and Rivers Casino Philadelphia with $40.8 million.
The continued strength of online gaming is consistent with Pennsylvania’s broader trend. In the state’s 2025/26 fiscal year, total regulated gaming revenue surpassed $7 billion for the first time, with iGaming playing a significant role in that record performance.
Retail slots also move higher
Traditional casino slot machines generated $213.7 million during July, up 2.5% compared with the same month a year earlier.
Parx Casino ranked first in the segment with approximately $32 million, while Wind Creek Bethlehem followed with $22.9 million. Rivers Casino Pittsburgh recorded $21 million.
The figures suggest that Pennsylvania’s land-based casino sector continues to hold its ground even as online gaming becomes an increasingly important part of the state’s overall market.
Sports betting adds another revenue stream
Sports betting also contributed significantly to the July results.
Valley Forge Casino Resort reported $21.1 million in sports betting revenue from a handle of $167.1 million. Hollywood Casino at the Meadows generated $14.4 million from a $166 million handle, while Hollywood Casino Morgantown recorded $3.9 million from $36.7 million in wagers.
Across the market, the combination of retail gaming, iGaming and sports betting continues to make Pennsylvania one of the most important regulated gambling jurisdictions in the US.
The state collected approximately $256.9 million in gaming tax revenue during July, further highlighting the financial importance of the sector to Pennsylvania.
A market increasingly driven by digital gaming
July’s results come after a record fiscal year for Pennsylvania gaming. The PGCB reported that regulated gaming revenue reached $7.006 billion in FY 2025/26, with tax and fee contributions to the Commonwealth reaching a record $3.098 billion.
The latest figures therefore reinforce a broader trend: while Pennsylvania’s physical casinos remain important, online casino gaming is becoming an increasingly powerful component of the state’s gambling economy.
