SiGMA World 2026: Rome Set to Welcome 30,000 iGaming Professionals

Rome is preparing to become one of the world’s main meeting points for the iGaming industry this November, as SiGMA World returns to the Italian capital from November 2–5, bringing together operators, affiliates, suppliers, investors, regulators and technology leaders from across the global gaming ecosystem.

Hosted at Fiera Roma, the 2026 edition is expected to attract around 30,000 delegates, including approximately 7,500 operators and 7,500 affiliates, alongside more than 1,200 exhibitors and sponsors. The event will feature five conference stages and more than 500 speakers, covering topics that extend well beyond traditional online casino and sportsbook discussions.

The scale of the event underlines SiGMA World’s position as one of the major international gatherings on the iGaming calendar — but this year’s Rome edition is also placing particular emphasis on the technologies and regulatory questions that are beginning to reshape the industry.

From iGaming to AI, payments and the next generation of technology

The 2026 programme reflects how closely gaming has become connected to the wider technology ecosystem.

Alongside the main conference programme, dedicated stages will focus on affiliate strategies, technology and AI, payments and the Italian market, while the Main Stage will address regulatory developments, identity, AML, enforcement and betting operations.

Artificial intelligence is expected to be one of the major themes running through the event.

For operators and suppliers, AI is increasingly moving from experimentation into areas such as data analysis, automation, risk management, compliance and customer engagement. SiGMA’s Rome programme is set to examine how these technologies are being implemented — and where regulation and responsible gaming considerations fit into the picture.

The event will also dedicate significant attention to fintech and digital payments, two areas that remain critical to the growth of regulated online gaming.

A strong focus on regulated markets

Regulation will be another central theme at SiGMA World 2026.

The speaker programme includes representatives from regulatory authorities and public institutions across Europe and beyond. Among the confirmed names are Anders Dorph, Director of the Danish Gambling Authority, Panagiotis Trisokkas, President of Cyprus’ National Betting Authority, Aleksandar Popov, Director of Bulgaria’s Gambling Supervision Directorate, and Jānis Ungurs, Head of the Lotteries and Gambling Division at Latvia’s State Revenue Service.

Italy will naturally receive particular attention, with the event taking place in Rome and dedicated programming examining opportunities and developments in the local market.

The organisers have also positioned the event as a meeting point between industry and policymakers, with the wider programme addressing the future of regulated gambling, consumer protection, enforcement and technological innovation.

7,500 affiliates and a major networking focus

For the affiliate sector, SiGMA World 2026 will offer a particularly large networking pool.

The organisers expect around 7,500 affiliates to attend, alongside a similar number of operators and a broad international supplier base.

The event’s networking programme extends beyond the exhibition floor, with VIP lounges, networking drinks, dinners, sporting events and dedicated iGatherings forming part of the four-day schedule.

Several evening events will also bring together different parts of the industry, including the SiGMA Awards and the AGS Awards, which will recognise achievements across gaming and affiliate businesses.

For companies attending with commercial objectives, the event’s official networking platform also allows participants to identify potential operators, suppliers, payment partners, traffic sources, investors, regulators and compliance partners.

Rome gets an expanded SiGMA experience

The 2026 edition marks SiGMA World’s second consecutive year in Rome, and organisers are expanding the event’s footprint at Fiera Roma.

The venue will host an expanded floor plan, additional conference stages and a wider range of networking and entertainment activities. The programme includes everything from startup pitches and technology discussions to padel competitions and the inaugural SiGMA Grand Prix.

The combination reflects the way major iGaming events have evolved in recent years: the exhibition floor remains at the centre, but business increasingly happens through smaller meetings, private networking sessions and informal conversations outside conference rooms.

The Italian market takes centre stage

The choice of Rome is also significant.

Italy remains one of Europe’s major regulated gaming markets, making the capital a natural meeting point for companies interested in the country’s regulatory environment and commercial opportunities.

Ahead of the November event, SiGMA and Forbes Italia are also bringing together institutions and businesses for “Forbes Italia & SiGMA Talks – Vision 2030”, a discussion focused on the future of regulated gambling in Italy, including regulation, innovation and consumer protection.

That local focus sits alongside SiGMA World’s broader international agenda, creating an event that combines market-specific discussions with global iGaming trends.

When is SiGMA World 2026?

SiGMA World 2026 will take place from November 2–5 at Fiera Roma in Rome, Italy.

With approximately 30,000 delegates, 1,200 exhibitors and sponsors, more than 500 speakers, 7,500 operators and 7,500 affiliates, the event is set to be one of the largest gatherings on the global iGaming calendar this year.

For four days, Rome will bring together the commercial, technological and regulatory sides of the industry — from operators and affiliates looking for their next opportunity to suppliers developing the technologies that could define the next stage of online gaming.

And with AI, payments, regulation and responsible innovation becoming increasingly important to the future of iGaming, SiGMA World 2026 arrives at a moment when the industry’s biggest questions are no longer simply about growth, but about what comes next.
